Low Flying And Wire Safety Video

This is a rather long, but excellent presentation on flying low and near wires. This is done with a helicopter perspective, but applies to all of us too.
There is great video work in this entertaining show.

Re: Low Flying And Wire Safety Video

Yea, Damn, sad but true.. When I was a kid flying here in Central Nevada, there were absolutely no wires in any of these valleys. Used to come home from watching a movie in Reno, on a coal black night, drop down and turn on the landing lights when I got to my valley and fly across the valley til I found the highway, then follow the highway to the airport turnoff, chop it and land on the road going into the airport. No way now, you'd have to cross about 3 power lines. But.... those power lines now feed our runway lights... so... :?
I think I liked the old days better... :)
