In the morning it will be time to head home. Planning a different route going back wanting to spend tomorrow night in Santa Fe, New Mexico which is my favorite city in the world. Hopefully the weather cooperates. This morning here in Madera it was soupy until late morning. If that happens again tomorrow I may not have enough time to get to Santa Fe before dark. If I can't then my alternate plan is to go back the way I came, probably stopping again in Tombstone. Sunday in Texas looks like it might be interesting as well weather wise. But Santa Fe comes first.
Moisture stream coming up from the Pacific is drenching this part of the state until Monday. Enjoy your stay at Santa Fe until this clears. We've had 4" since last night and "they" say the heavy stuff won't hit until Monday.
Santa Fe, also my favorite city in the world. Just got back from there. Dream about exploring the area with my own plane. Pinon smoke from kivas fills the air now. If you make it to the Reno races or to High Desert fly In next year, give me a shout.
In Santa Fe now. And it is the best smelling city in the world. Each season you come here is a different fabulous aroma. Sage one time, Juniper one time, and my favorite Piñon smoke. But I'm getting ahead of myself, first some photos from Arizona.
And then Sedona. Crazy people but the place is crazy beautiful.
Oh, I forgot one of the most important smells in Santa Fe, food! Walking the streets and burning piñon and Santa Fe cuisine, it just doesn't get any better.
