Mail Call!

Many of you probably know this show from the History Channel. It's hosted by R. Lee Ermey, the actor who played the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket. He seems type cast as the drill sergeant in any role he gets, but he plays it well and is fun to watch.

Basically he answers letters about military technology and then goes and plays with said technology. Season 1 episode 37 he flies with the Oregon National Guard in a F-15.

I'm not terribly crazy about military stuff, but it's a fun show.

Hahahaha...I forgot he played the coach in Saving Silverman. That was a hilarious role. He does comedy well.

Re: Mail Call!

One of the reasons he made such a good drill instructor in films was from his actual experiences having to get men ready to go to 'Nam in a much shortened up boot camp. There was no time to waste at all if they were going to try and keep these guys alive as Marines. It was fairly brutal but effective.
