I made it to Yuba City on Sunday for the EAA regional fly-in. From what I heard alot of people left Saturday night but there was still plenty to eww and ahh over. There were several good flying displays. I think my favorite was a modified Taylorcraft doing nice slow aerobatics to some soothing music. His finale was a deadstick loop, followed by a roll and then a nice wheel landing. The sound of the air going through the struts was really cool. I also got my first taste of what Reno Racers are capable of. I will be booking tickets to the races ASAP those things are awesome to watch! Overall another great fly-in and great day hanging around airplanes. Looking forward to Arlington and JC in a couple weeks.

Reno Air Races are kickass. After a few years you realize it's the same thing time and again, but that first year is mind blowing! I love the aerobatic demos and the static displays. Pit passes are a little on the $$$ side but it's a must do.
The best of the last few years IMO was the Red Bull Airrace which featured world class aerobatic pilots racing time trials through a low altitude pylon course while doing compulsory figures and making a spot landing. It was so cool!
