Master marksman...with a slingshot

This old guy is amazing. Notice his slingshots are just old Huck Finn style, not a Wrist Rocket or anything fancy.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Shouldn't this post be in the Light weight survival/camp gear thread? 8)

I built one of those like that once, was never even close to that good but if was fun. Kinda humorous too, watching him wander around out in the road and stuff, nice quiet life.

I still have mine, after almost 30 years!

I made one as a kid from a perfectly branched chunk of vine maple I found at my grandparents' place there outside of Tillamook. I made a couple from plum wood since, but they weren't ever as good as the original. I still have it in my odds n ends box.

Wonder where the old guy still gets the flat gum rubber bands for his? I always had to use surgical tubing (like they use on the wrist rockets) since that old stretchy innertube rubber hasn't been around in probably 40 years or more.

My son is 4, figure in a few years I will teach him how to shoot it.

Gees, when I was a kid if I could hit something one out of 10 shots I felt I was doing damn good! That guy is amazing!
