Maule Brawl at the River

Got the Maules together last week for a little flying just before dark. I now know why Mauleguy painted Bushwhacker like that.......it blends into the river islands well and makes it tough to see on Camera!

Make sure you watch in 720HD.

Great video that highlights what a Maule can do when flown by talented pilots.

Re: Maule Brawl at the River

Outstanding!

I have to ask... From this perspective your water assisted landings were sweet! You had one take off that looked like it turned into a water assist just as you cut to another shot. How did it turn out?! Wondered if you had to work it off or you just cut the shot to leave me hanging! :D
Great performance from a plane it seems like you just bought the other day.

Re: Maule Brawl at the River

Thanks Matt,
No water assisted departures on this flight, the angle just made it look that way. The camera was actually an after thought as my tail mount malfunctioned a couple weeks ago and last minute I strapped it to the strut to try and get a little footage. I really prefer to show the bushwheels in the frame to give a reference (and who doesn't like staring at big bushwheels:)) but that wasn't possible this flight if I still wanted a forward view.

Ideally I need 2-3 more cameras. A good forward view, a view that shows the tires, tailwheel included, control inputs, and pilot reaction........but who would fly the plane???!

Anyway, This airplane really just flies like my Pacer, but with more wing, flap, hp, and cost! So the transition has gone fairly quick, although I learn a lot every time I fly with someone new, especially Miller.
