Apparently there's a lot of flying activity on Lake Como. The Lake Como Aero Club does a lot of tourist business and even rents. Check out this cool VR panorama:

There was a round tail Maule parked at Caglieri on Sardinia the last time I was there. Didn't have a camera but the registration was I-MAUL.

I spotted this Italian-Maule-WannaBe today at a nice backcountry strip in the town of Central, Ut. It looked like a Cherokee from a distance but further inspection revealed a 43 yr-old Siai Marchetti 205 STOL. Anyone know anything bout these??? The backseat looked as large as the loveseat in my basement.

They were marketed in the U.S. under the Waco brand in the late '60's. (Hence the N9**WA registration numbers.) Used to see them around every once in a while. Still see quite a few of them in Italy. And the Rallye's too.

Nice! I was zooming in and out for whatever reason and decided to pan up...there's planes flying...or at least one that appears a few times during the panorama shooting!

The Rallye (PZL/Koliber) is an interesting airplane. A local guy had one for a while. Low wing with a canopy, featuring (as I recall) automatic leading edge slats like a Helio. Kinda homely to my eye, but a good performer. His had a 180-horse Lyc, but I believe they could be had with 220 Franklins also.
