We stopped in there a couple of weeks ago on the way back from OAK. I called first to get permission, but it's probably not necessary as they were happy to have us. They do charge for camping should you go that route, but personally I'd spring for a cabin.

There is a tie down cable in the grass 100' or so southwest of the runway.

As of mid June the strip is in very good shape. There is at least 25' of usable width and 2000 feet of length, sloping down 40' over its length to the north. It is an excellent place to go for an overnight trip. Obviously it is hot in midsummer but I had a great time. One interesting thing are the owls that hang out in the trees near the strip.
