Re: Mexican Mountain: Closed Sept 20-30

Lightweight folding shovel/ho is due to be added to my survival/backcountry kit.

We spent our first night at Mineral Canyon. It has become very overgrown since last I was there and we cleared brush to extend that runway. We discovered some nasty deep ruts also from water erosion, hidden in the weeds. So we filled those in as best we could and cleared the brush nearby so that they would more likely just be avoided. We also added about 80-100' of runway by doing so when taking off to the Northwest. I'll post some pictures of that too.
