Michael Collier's Work: Flying, Geology and Photography

Hey BCP junkies, I want to let everyone know about Michael Collier, a local Flagstaff pilot who also happens to be a talented author, photographer, geologist, backcountry pilot, family practice doc and all around nice guy. :D Michael has written several books on geology and now has an iPad app out that has many photos, graphics, and audio describing geology using photos from our vantage point, airplanes. He flies and shoots from his Cessna 180, aka the "Buzzard."

If you like backcountry flying definitely check out his blog, great land scape photography, interesting stories and back country flying. Some familiar places such as saline valley and red creek:

This is the page about his latest work an iPad app called the "Wonders of Geology", push the play button for a pretty sweet intro/video:

FYI I'm not in anyway affiliated nor do I have a financial interest with these publications. Just passing on a great website and iPad app from a local pilot for all my fellow BCP'ers. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Yes, he does a great job and the iPad app is really well done. I hope he updates it sometime.

Zane posted a thread about the app about a year ago and everyone at home thoroughly enjoyed it.
