Dropped into Minam Lodge last evening while waiting for the wind to die down so I could jump the river and camp at Red's. I was greeted by Aaron, contractor-in-charge, Cindy, Jill-of-all-trades, and the rest of the crew and given the grand tour. Much has been accomplished so far and the design and workmanship are really impressive. Obviously, the owner and his crew are committed to putting out a quality product and creating an excellent wilderness experience.
BTW, they are still very thankful for all the help they received last year from the many pilots who helped with the airlift.
They'll be open for business on Memorial Day weekend, so keep them in mind if you're in the area.
Also, both the Minam and Red's airstrips are in good shape, but keep an eye out for the elk herd that has been camping out at Red's for the last week or so.
