Hello everyone, I trying to get our 56 182 on with USAIG and need the value of all the mods that have been previously installed because I'm required to get it appraised. I want it insured as is prorated with mods. Appraiser will deduct time/hours accordingly. I'm hoping some of you can save me a ton of time and tell me the avg price installed for these mods. I'll ask my mechanic for guesstimates on smaller items: FS450, EI digital gauges, Door Steward; which, by the way is a way cool item. Flown our 210s 36 yrs without and didn't know what we were missing.

Some mods were done between 2006 and 2010. Rest 2020. I assume I should ask you for date of your pricing to help appraiser.
1) MT 2 blade- we just OH'd 5 months ago. Decided with all these mods this 56 is a keeper and MT was timed out-FWIW.
2) AirGlass fork
3) Knisley exhaust
4) Acorn muffler
5) SeaPlanes West motor mount
6) Steve's gascolator
7) uAvionix ADSB out tailcone unit- using Sentry and IPad for in.
Horton STOL
9) VGs
10) Selkirk extended baggage
11) Monarch fuel caps (that don't leak so far)
12) Hooker Y harness X 2

I have done several appraisals using AOPA VREF. Things like exhaust brandX, Prop brandY and shoulder harnesses, while attractive to a potential buyer don't really factor in to an appraisal. Things like engine upgrades, STOL kits, WAAS GPS, less than average engine/airframe times and 10/10 paint are indeed factored in.
