Mogas STC Placard Info
Nothing happens without it. Discuss fuel locations, quality, alternatives, and anything else related to this critical resource.
Looking for the wording for the Petersen mogas STC placard that goes near the gas tanks. Ours are long gone. I know I can get them from Petersen but we can make them here for no cost. The CPS guys were no help.

Do you still have the STC paperwork?
Maybe your placard info is in there.
The paperwork for my EAA 87 octane mogas STC depicts the required placard.

When I got my plane it had some very weird Peterson STC mogas placards. They were Canada Specific, and had some interesting Altitude mentions.
I called them, and they printed me modern, US Placards, that were very high quality, made of metal-ish material, and had the latest information on them.
I think it was only 10-15$, well worth it and great service.

When I got my Peterson one for a PA-22 years ago they sent engineering drawings from the FAA on which valve cover screw to remove and put a metal tag on the engine and the measurements on how far from the gas cap on the tanks. I expect the cost of those drawings to the taxpayer was only a million or so back in the middle of the last century. We had been using auto gas for years, so the drawings were a novelty.

I ordered the STC from Peterson recently. I have 4 fuel fill caps on my plane, and he only sent me 2 placards. I made a call to Peterson's and they sent me out a couple new placards immediately, no charge. Just FYI
