I moved my 4200 lb ski ramp, built so I could simply go straight out the hangar when on skis. My first season with this setup, and while the learning curve was a little steep (ha ha) once I got the hang of it it was a WHOLE lot less work then tyring to keep my regular summertime strip plowed. You don't see any dents in the hangar door, and that was the real trick, keeping speed back up the ramp, without ending up In the hangar, with the door still closed. I didn't want to look at it all summer, plus it was taking up space in the transient aircraft area.
It took about 20 minutes to rig it, including undoing the two bolts that hold the top end to some concrete pillars. I already knew the weight, and looking at my cranes load chart knew I would need to make a move before the second pick. The first time I put it 80' away, and the second time another 75', where it will ride out the summer, out of sight behind an outbuilding. I had the crane home for some maintenance, so no big deal.

The second pic, and the outbuilding it is stashed behind.
