Mud avalanche

We had a huge rain here yesterday and last night, lots of stuff flooding, mudslides closing roads, etc. It's a classic Northwest annual tradition.

Then I got to looking at some YouTube videos of mudslides...WOW. Snow avalanches scare me, but this is something more frightening. Look at the scale of this sucker:

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Better move down here Zane, I wouldn't want to start worrying about those damn things.

Besides a whole lot more flying days down here on the rock.

tricycles are for little girls

Not to discount mudslides, avalanches, or any other destructive force MN dishes out or the tragic loss of life. But for those living in the NW; it's not a matter of IF this will happen - only WHEN:

Most of us were around for St Helens. Anyone who has ever flown over or near it knows it is only the baby:

Or in indian lore it is the granddaughter with Rainier the grandfather: "When the granddaughter speaks, grandfather will answer"

Dang. Sorry to hear that. No one should ever have their kids die before they do.
