mud flaps

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

mud flaps

I know there's been some discussion here about mud flaps, to prevent airframe damage from flying debris, but couldn't find it.
Here's a couple photos of a set of mudflaps I saw today, mounted on a TC 206 on the ramp at my airport.
Dunno if they're home made or store boughten, STC'd or bootlegged, or what,
but they looked like they'd do a good job.
Main drawback is no yosemite sam or naked cowgirl on them.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!

Re: mud flaps

There’s an STC for them, at least on the 206. Not sure about the Skywagon. D-R-A-G!

Re: mud flaps

Can you get these for the C172 and C150?

Lots of 206's have them but I haven't seen any on a 180-185 But looks like they are approved

Keep the Greasy side down!

Re: mud flaps

The Air Cadets here in Canada built some really nice 182s when they replaced the Birdogs. They have a similar mudflap. I have a picture somewhere.
