I got my certificate exactly one year ago today! I have logged 225 hours total and 547 landings. I think at least close to 400 of those have been off airport. I did my first attempt at a video today too. I have a lot to learn at both flying and my video work, but its been a blast! I am loving the 7GCBC for now but hopefully I see a cub in my future!

Congrats! That's exciting....soon enough it'll be 10 years and you'll wonder how it flew by so fast!

[EDIT: And by the way, who says a Citabria isn't a back-country performer - Nice video]

Great video. Looks like your having fun. Your passengers won't thank you if you get a super cub. My wife saw the back seat of one and said no way. I didn't like how tight the front seat was compared to the Citabria either. The 180 I just picked up should have lots of room though! Will always miss the Citabria though.

Thanks everyone! I am loving the plane, my license and Alaska. I am really looking forward to retiring from the military in July and taking a few months off before I start a new career to explore and fly as much as I possibly can! Its going to be a good year I have a feeling!
David, my wife has flown in the back of a supercub and she loved it. That is the only passenger I am worried about. I am going to have her sit in a few more at the Alaska Airmens show and see what she thinks. I am a ways off (likely several years) from purchasing a cub, but we pay her jeep off in a few months and that is a big step towards it!

Good news that your wife likes the super cub! We are young and just expecting our first baby, so no more 2 seaters for a number of years...
