Mary and I sailed around the world from 93 to 04 and we spent 2 years in africa, 1 year in south africa. The people and the scenery and the wine were all outstanding in South Africa. looks like you are enjoying all that it has to offer.

Rob do Table Mountain if your still in Capetown. To make it really interesting ride up and hike back down. I spent a week in Joburg and Capetown on the Govt's dime back in 2004.

Back from visiting Victoria Falls. Very beautiful! Low water now so the whole cliff is not covered. Had the all you can eat breakfast FIT FOR THE QUEEN!! Drinks and lunch. A fucking monkey jumped on the table and stoled a roll. Fast little basterds! I got a good smack on him before he escaped. We are at the Royal Livingston. They have a guy with a sling shot hazing them. It works too. Monkeys don't like slingshots. Now I must get ready for Hi Tea, an English thing. At 3PM

Head to JoeBurg tomorrow and back to the US on Saturday.

Isn't it to bad vacations like that can't be broken up into 2 or 3 day stints? I still remember being in South America for 20 days---I'd go back but only for few days at a time which I couldn't afford. Also have sworn off 8+ hr. airliner rides.

Hello guys: What a day it has been. Got to the airport at Livingston, Zambia. The place was a zoo! It looked like some 3rd world country, ha ha I know it is.

We go through a real long line only to be told at the ticket counter that we can't get boarding passes because we don't have Yellow Fever inoculation. Nobody told us we needed that one or we would have got it.

They tell me to go wait in another line. Then they say I have to go back to town (6 minutes at 60MPH on bumpy country roads) to see a doctor who will sell me a vaccination card for $50.00 No vaccination just a card. I need one and my mom too. $100.00 Cab ride $15.00 each way. I wasn't the only person there. You talk about some pissed off people. I just kept smiling and joking about it.

This Yellow Fever thing just went into effect October 1st. I have been in Africa since Sept 23rd. Nobody in Zambia said anything till we are at the airport. Back at the airport, back in line. Made the flight. Got to Joburg, nobody gives a FUCK about the vaccination card. ha ha ha ha

The people are nice.

Half way home to the good ol USA. At Heathrow now. Back in Oregon at 8PM Sunday. I will sure be glad to be home and look forward to getting my new motor back in the M7
