Need to Hitch a Ride Nulato- Anchorage Area

I know this is probably Far fetched , but I need to try to find a ride to Anchorage area from Nulato to pick up a 170 at Wolf Lake.
Needs to be Sat evening or early Sunday morning as I have to be back by 7AM on Monday morning, Any week end in the next month or so.
Very willing to buy the GAS.
SlowHawk, Are you still in the area?
If someone wanted to take a joy ride and come out stay a night or 2 night, catch a King or She fish, Ive got an extra bed. Also have a little jon boat with a jet on it if you wanted to take a ride up the Nulato River.

Thanks GT

George I was about to offer myself up like Tundra did, but gas from Ohio isn't comparing well with from the Yukon. Next summer I am going to look you up while you are up there!

Tundra
What do you figure about 100 gallons RT, Direct is 675 miles. #-o
Probably a little more if you ran up to Dawson, Hit Fairbanks, Nulato, Anchorage, Then you could run down to Crodova, Yakutat, Follow the Alsek back up to Haines Jct and then home, would be right back to your old stomping grounds!!
Thats one way I can get a ride in that tundra. =D>
Lets talk :D Would the weekend of the 2/3 July work for you?
GT

John Are you headed this way next year, About when??
Maybe I can have that Glastar finished by then?? [-o<

Still no plane here due to annual. When that changes and if I can swing it I'll let you know, always great to fly up to the Yukon. Might have to be after fourth of July tho.

You have to guarantee me at least one king

The best part is you can practice with the engine airframe combo =D>

Don't turn down someone else in the meantime.

Re: Need to Hitch a Ride Nulato- Anchorage Area

July first is Canada Day and I'm working..then off for a week as we like to spend July 4th in Alaska...Skagway usually...but eh, I can always spend it in Nulato or else where in Ak! If I was to go to Nulato, forget about dawson..straight up to Tok, then somewhere in between Tok and Nulato that sells fuel... then whatever works for the way down... if its nice weather, I'd go direct Valdez/Cordova, Yakutat..maybe lunch at Drybay.. Haines and direct Whitehorse over the Ferebee ice cap... I'm in Nova Scotia for work right now but will try to figure out distances... I burn just less than 12 gph at 130/140 mph 23/2350 Cheers, BCT

I think we could even have breakfast Sunday morning at Gwenies!

Just put some stuff in the ipad, CYXY-PFTO is 272nm 2:02
PFTO-PATK is 205 NM 1:35
PATK-PANU is 257NM 2:00 using 67 gals fuel with your #s

PANC-PAYA is 322 NM 2:42
PAYA-PAGY 132 NM 1:10

I'm at PAIN.

I run it as though it has the O-300. It's no Lycoming conversion but you can still feel the extra horsies especially with my prop pitched for climb. Seems to like cruising at 2500 rpm with my 51 pitch prop.

Placard for prop harmonics between 2150 and 2250 rpm. Pretty much it.

Hey George,
Sorry for the late reply, have'nt been checking the site much, been too busy flying and doing all the (short) summer projects before the snow starts flying again.
