I spent a month there one winter. Didn't have an airplane with me, but took lots of walks around the airport. Looks like a good runway for most anything we talk about here. Neat park. Great beaches nearby.

Good food in Manzanita - Big Wave Cafe, right where 101 makes the corner, can't miss. A friend of mine owns it.

Tillamook Air Museum is cool, too. And not far from there.

I've been there and it is nice. The best time on the Oregon coast is September. Oct-May lots of rain. June-Aug the fog can be relentless. You can come and go most afternoons but not always. Forget mornings. But when the sun is out, OMG! it is incredibly.

Beautiful place, one I've been wanting to go back to for an overnight.
The strip is pretty decent. The parking area gravel and grass. There were cables but bring your own tiedown ropes.

Life is good. Life is better with wings.

You can usually park right in front of one of the very nice camp sites just south of the main parking area. There's 5 of them, I think, all with fire rings, picnic tables and nice tent spots in the trees. Plush!

It's a great spot to bring the family airplane camping. It's a quick walk to the beach (although you'll have to walk through the big campground). You can follow the beach on foot to the North to Manzanita, which is a nice little town. We rented some little three-wheel bicycles there one time that were a lot of fun on the beech.
