Thanks for posting... Good to know

The AOPA event is at KPYM (my base) on July 12th. Should be a fun day. Make sure you reach out if you fly in.

Re: New England Flyin Opportunities this Summer

How about an informal BCP member flyin at Sugarloaf Maine (B21), either the weekend of May 24th or 31st? There are two BCP folks already hangared here and there are some great places for us to fly out to. Fun grass strips all around us. Let me know if anyone would be interested. I'm also pretty flexible with work so could host anyone on a nice weekday as well if weekends don't work.

Hey Greg -

Try to have that beauty done by June 21st for the Mountain View Airfield Flyin.

It would be a great venue to show off all of your hard work.

Pundy -

Great suggestion!

Let me know what you come up with for the 24th and I may fly up from KPSM.

Mau,you might want to give a call on Mountain view. I'm thinking it's still by invite only.

I'm sure they would make room for a New 180. I will look into it tomorrow.

Absolutely Not!

Everyone is invited to the Annual Mountain View Flyin!

The invitation came as a PDF so I apologize for the small print.

I'm going to call today and see if the Patuxent River Navy Flying Club is still active and what kind of rental rates they have. It'd be cool if I had the opportunity to link up with y'all in the NE sometime before my course starts!

Mountain View is a nice strip. They hosted a dirt bike ride a few years ago that was fun. Guess I need to finish up the license thing...

Re: New England Flyin Opportunities this Summer

Update: Sugarloaf isn't going to happen this coming weekend. We got 5" of rain the past couple days and more predicted for this week. Maybe we can shoot for the following weekend. I'll post conditions here.

Re: New England Flyin Opportunities this Summer

Well, I caught the manager at the flying club and stopped in to talk to him. Even filled out some paperwork.

But in the 30 days left that I'll have spare time to fly civilian all but a few weekends are pretty committed. Still unsure if the up-front dues are worth it.

Working it out with Mama now.

I may be relegated to burger bringer if anyone comes down this way in the next month. After July starts I'll be pretty scarce though.

Ok so this is the last event MAU MAU listed at the beginning of summer and I've worked through every one of them. Anyone flying to Greenville this weekend?

I'll be headed to Greenville this weekend, but it will be near Greenville, SC for the Triple Tree Flyin at SC00. I'll be thinking of you other pilots headed to the water. Too bad that Mau Mau sold his Maule. I'll miss his enthusiasm at whatever event I'm visiting.
