New Place to Land?

Hello Backcountry Pilots,
I attached some pictures, hope you like them. Anyway I landed on an island located on the lower Snake River this week. Scouting first with a helicopter, even a R-44 is "priceless". Looking forward to a weekend of airplane camping with my 11 year old son at the Salmon Bar Airstrip too.

James

Re: New Place to Land?

Did the status of this strip change? Was looking on shortfield.com and see that there is now a posting "This property is managed by the Army Corp of Engineers and aircraft operations are strictly prohibited without permission from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District commander." Has any one got permission for this strip?

Obviously James did. You must be looking at some outdated info.

It looks like James landed there in 2010. The update in shortfield was from a coupole of months ago. Hence the reason that I was looking for more information on this strip
