New Years Day 2012 flight

Just some strips around the Chehalis area. Sabins is the most intimidating for me. Those trees on the departure end are growing.

I'll give it a two thumbs up!! Enjoyed watching your video. I think I've seen that 172 with the 850's at Arlington a few years ago.

Looks like a fun flight, think a few of those strips need a tree trim.

That white/red aircraft at 6:29, is it a C150 conversion?

Thanks. Just threw it together.

You probably did see Kelly's blue and white 172 at Arlington. He usually attends.

The red and white 150 is a 150hp conversion TD conversion. I believe it's the model prior to the slant tail.
Phil, the owner, has a hangar next to mine. He did well with it and he had two on board plus he was running his RPM a lot lower than I for the same cruise speed. He is running 6.00's on the mains.

I think I met Phil at Kelly's fly-in last year. I own a similar C150/150TD & just happened to park next to him-- cool to see two uncommon yet so similar airplanes parked side-by-side.

Michelle, one of the Biggles owners, posted a couple of videos of recent landings.

This was my first landing at Biggles. I dropped it in at the last minute. Splat, bounce, bounce bounce.

Kelly's takeoff roll is impressive.

Cool video's. Looks like Michelle (the 206 gal) took them? What's that on your LH strut, a camera mount?
Kelly's takeoff looked good, but tell him to crawl under there sometime & clean that belly off! "Keep the greasy side down" is just a figure of speech.

Yep, She's got that 206. That thing hauls anything. And right again, that's my poor mans camera mount. I've been trying what someone else posted, a PVC tube held on with bungee cords. I have to be careful to get the bungees really tight.

He says that grease is his corrosion proofing!

I'm sorry I missed meeting you at the fly-in... or I did meet you and am not placing the face and the airplane, oldtimers setting in.
