Does anybody have an ideal what most straight tail 182's are selling for today (2014)?
I know there are many variables involved in a selling price. But I'm most interested in knowing what a 182 with the following spec's should sell for or be listed at.
4000-6000 Total Airframe Hours
New to Low Time Stock 470 Engine or a Pponk upgrade
Paint around an 8 out of 10
Interior in excellent condition
Basic VFR Panel with newer radio and transponder
Leading Edge Stol kit
Landis front fork with 850's all around
Baggage compartment extension
Windows in excellent condition
The reason I ask is that I have a very good friend that is highly interested in going in on my plane and he's about the only few people I would even consider doing this with. We are in the talking stage right now and like me, he has been away from flying for a about 4 years and out of touch with airplane pricing.
I'm pretty sure we are going to agree on a buy in price of at least an overhauled prop and stock 470 engine and a few other items to get the plane airworthy. I'm just curious if this amount will come close to half of what the value of the plane will or should be when all is done and we go flying. (if that makes sense) And we haven't ruled out a Pponk just yet. We are only talking about $7K more for the Pponk upgrade.
I appreciate your help and Thanks for your thoughts!
