Nor Cal Breakfast Run

My wife and I flew out for breakfast at Ukiah, Ca today. We also made landings at Gravelly Valley, Indian Valley, and Delta International. It was a fun day of flying.

Nice one Rob! I need to get down that way for certain! How is Gravelly? Cool spot to camp?

Also need to tag Delta Intl. Looks like fun!

Gravelly looks like a good spot to camp there was a fire pit about 25 feet from where I was parked, I would like to camp there in the off season when no one else is around though.

Never heard of Delta. Is that a private strip?

It's a private uncharted strip, Buzzlatka is related to the owners.

Re: Nor Cal Breakfast Run

I could not make Ukiah or Gravelly this morning but was hoping to catch a couple C170's at Delta Int.
I went by there but no one home about mid afternoon.
Next time.

buzzlatka was chasing kids around sacramento. Rob was the first non a-ho## to land at delta. C-170's land where maules and c-180s dare not go.

I'm running out of places to go! You have anything else I should add to my hit list?

Re: Nor Cal Breakfast Run

Nancys in Willows and Lodi are good close Bfast spots. I have two more private ones in the area we can hit. It's all about networking to find them and get permission around here it seems.

Re: Nor Cal Breakfast Run

Lodi is the first place I landed in CA and they do have a tasty breakfast there. I haven't been to Willows yet. I've been trying to call and get permission at some of the private airstrips. A lot of people I can't get a hold of... and the ones I do say NO. I would like to hit a few of the strips up near Lake Berryessa. We could get our own little circuit set up just like AKT!

Re: Nor Cal Breakfast Run

I was flying into Auburn a couple of weeks ago and heard a CFI
say he was returning from Brownsville F25 to teach his
student the importance of staying on centerline.

Somebody asked about whether it was like Harris Ranch (3O8)
which is 35 feet wide and the CFI said it was 20 feet wide.

Bonny Louis Cafe is just off the runway. Doesn't have
good reviews but that was then and maybe getting
there will spice it up.

It is on my todo list.

Hey Joey,
I'm off the leash. Count me in one one of these fun runs some time.
