EXTREMELY STEEP HAZARDOUS SEAS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH TONIGHT. A STALLED FRONT OFFSHORE WILL SLOWLY PUSH THROUGH THE WATERS LATE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT...THEN INLAND TUESDAY. WINDS WILL GRADUALLY LOWER TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY. HOWEVER GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY AS ADDITIONAL FRONTS MOVE ACROSS THE AREA. SEAS WILL REMAIN VERY STEEP THROUGH MIDWEEK.

Today: S gales 45 kt with gusts to 65 kt... Rising to storm force winds 50 kt with gusts to 70 kt late this morning into this afternoon. Wind waves 18 to 21 ft...building to 23 to 27 ft. Swell W 8 to 10 ft at 11 seconds. Rain.

Tonight: Northern portion...S gales 40 to 50 kt with gusts to 65 kt...becoming SW 20 to 30 kt. Southern portion...S gales 45 kt...easing to gales 35 to 40 kt after midnight. Wind waves 15 to 25 ft...subsiding to 11 to 15 ft after midnight. Mixed swell W 8 to 11 ft at 11 seconds and S 5 to 10 ft at 11 seconds. slight chance of tstms in the evening. Rain through the night.

I've been through several of those. Always interesting. Get out the candles and Colman lanterns. Make sure the genset runs to keep the freezer cold. Like camping out at home.

I was stuck on a ferry last night, going through this weather front. Took 4 hours to do a regular 2 hour trip. And we couldn't dock, because it was too dangerous. Glad i don't get sea sick :)

I was at the Beach House at Rockaway yesterday and last night. WOW! Quite a bit of damage in our neighborhood. We just lost a fence.... And some tree limbs. Had to drive back to Central WA today.
Drove through Pacific City about 3 pm yesterday and the storm was roaring pretty good then, too.....
