Off the Beaten Path (again)

I have posted this one in the past, but it bears repeating as I still get these questions on a weekly basis.

Enjoy...

Thanks Rod...I just thought that since it has been 2 years from the original posting it might be a good post for the new members. Not to mention it is still a weekly question in my world.

Re: Off the Beaten Path (again)

Your right and I am sure that in another two years it will still be a great article with which to inform people.

I am fortunate to have my own business located on 28 acres. I have a deal with a farmer to keep 23 of the acres in use. In return he always leaves me a 100 x 1200 ft runway planted in winter grass during the fall and winter seasons. This gives me a place to land and taxi up to the back door of my office building. When people see the airplane there they ask if someone had an emergency landing and if they are okay. When I tell them that is my plane their eyes get real big and they usually say something like "You mean you don't land at an airport?" or "How do you do that?". You know the good ones because they immediately ask "Can I get a ride?" I still get a kick out that!
