I have not read the Fly Idaho book in about 8 or 9 years but I don't remember it being recommended to land turning going up hill, this is considered the overrun area if I remember right. I think that for the first timer landing it would be better to land straight in and then once you got on the ground and looked it over real well and you still wanted to try the turning uphill landing then go for it.
