And if you haven't ever met JJ Frey, go to one of the big air shows like OSH or S n F or the Alaska Airmens show and find the EDO booth...he's SO MUCH fun to listen to and incredibly knowledgeable.

He's in his seventies and playing tennis with his new knees.

Fantastic guy and the EDO co. Has a rich history, as the video suggests.

Years ago while searching for a seaplane, I found a round engine Fairchild like that one on EDO floats for sale at Kenmore. Price was reasonable, but wiser folks convinced me that I was looking for a using airplane, not an antique, which might be tough to find parts for etc. so, I passed, but other than the. Beaver, I've always considered that airplane to be the classiest seaplane ever.

And that ones a beauty.
