One Six Right

This is a fabulous homage to flying and to a storied airport. The movie is centered around the Van Nuys airport in southern California and the airplanes that have been based there. The air to air footage covers everything from warbirds to J3s, with Pitts, the pregnant guppy cargo plane, and antique biplanes interspersed throughout. When combined with a superb soundtrack and great historic information you've got a winning combination. Watch it on a high definition screen with a good sound system to do the film justice. It's available on Netflix and from Amazon. Enjoy it at a hangar party when the weather isn't flyable.

The companion video, One-Six Left, is also very good. It's the "making of" documentary of One-Six Right.

Re: One Six Right

I really enjoyed this movie as well. At the flight school where I did my training there was a poster for it on the wall. I always thought it was just a joking poster until I looked it up. Very good.
