One step closer...

So I sold my motorcycle tonight. Part of my saving up toward my first plane. I've had the bike for 6 years. I feel crappy about it but know its for a good cause.

The instigator was a little old lady that decided super last minute to turn left in front of me. I just didn't trust her as I got closer and closer, just knew she was going to do something stupid even with plenty of time to see me. Missed my left knee by about 1-2", no exaggeration. After I squeezed by her I was in a fishtail and almost lost the bike, but was able to hang on. Decided that as much fun as it was, I hate the idea of being in a hospital for 6 months for someone else's stupidity. Just not worth it. I have no problem in my mind with calculated risks of things I bring on myself during such things as scuba and flying.

I found a place nearby that will rent out a citabria so I can get some real tailwheel time before I purchase. Now it is just to decide: C140, Luscombe, PA-20, PA-16, citabria, or other? Probably a good year before I make the plunge though.
