Dog is my Copilot wrote: Eric, You can buy this doubler kit which gives an STC extending the inspection to 10 years/1500 hours. It costs 3K. The tailcone inspection takes about 20 hours of labor if I remember so almost a wash at 105/hr - my IAs shop rate. In 5 years his shop rate is likely more. Plus down time. I am likely to do it again in 2033.

I'm not seeing that-- from the linked webpage:
"Thank you for your patience while we clarified the effects of AD2020-21-22. Though the STC for the Tail Cone Angle Kit (STC SA02522AK) allowed for an extended inspection time of 10yr/1500hr, the FAA helped clarify that AD2020-21-22 takes precedence with its required inspection of 5yr/500hr."
From the ICA for the STC:
"Limitations:
Currently there are no components of the McFarlane Aviation, LLC. Cessna tail cone reinforcement angle
splice Kit that have a time limited mandatory replacement. 2018-CE-060-AD: Cessna 180, 182, 185 Tail
Cone AD specifies inspection of this area of known crack propagation every 500 flight hours or 5 years,
whichever comes first. After installation of this STC kit, inspection will not be required until cumulating
500 flight hours or 5 years whichever comes first. After the initial inspection, inspections will be
required every 500 flight hours or 5 years whichever comes first."
