What are fun Backcountry strips in Oregon?
Planning to fly this Sunday and Monday from Washington.
Then fly Idaho 2 more days.
Any local want to join and show me around?

Hood River is a great stop on your way down, get a burger at Twin Peaks, west end of strip. Bend has cheap fuel and a BBQ style restaurant on the field. Photo of Chukar Monday......

Ok I've found Chukar Flat on Google Maps, is Bull Run AKA McKinnon Airpark at 45.430568, -122.244755? Doesn't look too much like a desert, so I think it is elsewhere.
I'm making a list for 2020 USA avaition extravaganza in 2020. Living vicariously till then!

What are other options to stay /or camp this time of the year?

Yes there are lines. I don't know where they all are, but I have seen them.
