I will be camping in the Maule and my buddy should be beside me in his Cessna 180. We are planning to be there Monday - Thursday

I'm planning on camping there, but in the VAC area, if it's not full by the time I get there.

My family & I are planning on camping (but don't know where) at Oshkosh on the 27 & 28th.

The people that are going to be at OSH at the same time should exchange cell phone numbers so we can meet and place a face to a name.

I will be there camping under the wing in the North 40. Going out this Friday or Saturday - weather dependent as always! Plan on staying to at least Thursday.

Would like to meet some of you guys.

Sure would be nice if we had some Backcountry Pilot T-shirts so we could recognize each other!

Zane - how are those shirts coming?

Camping North Forty

I am going with a friend in his Beechcraft; it is the 75th anniversary of Beech and he 60th for the Bonaza. John has a Sierra, (RG Sundowner) it is maroon and red trim over a light cream. He is not sure if they are going to marshall the Beechcraft types together or where in CAG we will be tied down. We plan on leaving KTTD Thursday early, RON somewhere and arrive KOSH Friday morning.

The truth will set you on the path to being free

Okay - I will go first. My cell is 484-542-2707. I will probably be in KOSH Saturday night the 21st. Will be camping in the GAC (yup - got my sign made!) area.

I will have a tent, a table, chair, Coleman lantern, tarp, snacks, and cooler full of (you guessed it!) diet coke!

Anybody brave enough to meet me, give me a call. We can swap semi-truths and talk about how cool it is to fly areoplanes!

I am not going until Wednesday. I'll be in the north 40, if someone leaves me a parking spot. I'll have the red & white Scout with big tires and an American flag flying. Hope to meet some BC flyers, John

Hi all,

My family & I will be either arriving Friday night 27th or Saturday morning 28th, and leaving after the airshow on Sunday 29th. We will be camping in a GAC/north 40 area and might be in a Beechcraft area.

I just wish I could fit 8.50x6 tires on my Musketeer so I could truly represent Backcountrypilot.org! Where are the T-shirts Zane?

Give me a call if you are there on the last weekend of Oshkosh.

...how about that New Holstein cub fly-in??? Who is going and when will you be over there? Sounds cool, but I'm nervous about signing up, due to weather related changes, and not arriving the right day, etc.

Whatever you do, don't take your tri-gear plane or they make you park on the ramp.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

..well then, if I had a tri gear plane, I'd be calling Jesse Jackson!

Which is the way it should be, ramps and pavement are for nose draggers.
