Just got back from there this morning, here's what I can tell you about it. As Clipwagon said, land on the west side of the runway, the center is eroded down several inches and very rough, the west side is actually pretty good for a dirt strip. At the north end is a windsock, 7 tiedowns, and an outhouse. The tiedowns are steel chains in concrete, but the grass is tall enough you will have to shut down and walk around to find them. The outhouse isn't bad for an outhouse, but it is an outhouse. There is a broom and shovel inside, after you tie down, sweep out the spiders and prop the door open with the shovel, close the door when you leave to keep the critters out. There is a fire ring by the windsock, but it is overgrown with grass so don't try to use it unless you bring a string trimmer and cut a fire break around it. The lake is full right now, launching a boat should be easy, also you can fish from the front porch of the Owyhee Hilton, the cottonwoods where I planned on slinging a hammock for the afternoon are in water a few feet deep. The Owyhee Hilton is cleaner than last time I was there, I hauled out some trash and if the civilized people haul it out faster than the barbarians leave it behind this place can be a decent spot to stop. No cell phone service. The critter count for one night was several ducks and geese, plenty of small songbirds, a few white pelicans and egrets, one eagle, one great blue heron, a few bats at sunset, and all night long the area west of the strip was filled with a billion frogs croaking like an amphibian singles bar. No bugs during the daytime, mosquitoes came out at sunset. Hope this helps, have fun.
