P-51 Mustang Video

Pure. Airplane. Pornography.

The only thing missing is the sound of the Merlin.

Re: P-51 Mustang Video

Without a doubt the Merlin's "music" would have been more appropriate.

My Dad was killed in a P-51 in April 1948. Seeing a "missing man formation" made up of Mustangs really tears me up--although I was only 4 years old when I saw the one which honored him. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful airplanes ever made.

They are home built units using R/C turbines and all self contained inside the pods (which by the way use the same location as the drop tanks would).

Here's some music from the inside...

Careful making offers like that, Chris, or you're going to have to start filing regular BCP flight plans to let us all know in advance whenever and wherever you plan to fly your Mustang!!! :D

I, and probably a lot of others on this board, would fly a long ways to come ogle it!

Unfortunately (or fortunately if you look at it that way), it's not mine - but I'm lucky enough to fly it.

If people are up for it, I'd be more than happy to have BCP'ers come down, have lunch at CVH's restaurant, and let you guys sit in the cockpit/check it all out. That's what the airplane is there for, to be shared with others. I can make some music with it in the afternoon too.

Chris,
I'm over in King City...I make it up there for breakfast once in a while.

I'd love to come up and check out the plane, never seen one up close. Whomever owns that one probably knows my bosses dad, Gordon Plaskett, who just recently passed away. He was one of the first guys around here to start restoring P-51's back in the good ole days...unfortunately I was barely coming into this world when that was going on.

Got to look around Art Teters shop a while back too...very impressive operation there! Unfortunately nothing close to finished to drool over during my short visit.

I'll PM you my info
