I don't think they let old air cavalry pilots do long line work. Takes too much organization and concentration.

I used to hang out at McCall and thought the P2V was pretty neat but the PB4Y had the best sound. Still remember the guys flying low over me at a low cruise setting, empty, and boy did that thing talk.

The song is "Cold Missouri Waters" - Composed about the Mann Gulch fire, Montana, 1949. One of the more tragic days in wildland fire fighting.
