PA12 rear seat size

Hello all. Hey if anyone is out by their PA12, could you put a tape measure across the rear seat. Interested in knowing how wide the seat is.
Then I can measure my wife and kid’s butts to see if they fit. And yes I know it’s not a big seat, shoulder room is also tight and PA12 are generally a 2 person airplane for most folks.
Thanks everyone!

The rear seat pan on my 12 is 32 inches wide. Carried two there often but the seat belt and shoulder harness situation presents a challenge. You sure you want to tell your spouse that you need to measure her backside?

The key to flying two people front or back seat in tight planes is to offset the hips and shoulders. Adding a extra back support will place one passenger in front of the other allowing for more comfort in the back. If you have two up front hopefully you have individual seats to adjust.

Great thanks guys!
Yes the whole asking my wife to sit on a tape measure is gonna be pretty funny! Fortunately she’s a gym addict so she’s not shy about her size. Lucky me! The growing 13 year old son with growing shoulder width is more of a concern!

Perhaps more to the point, also check the useful load. PA 12s are t known for lots of that.....
So, is the one you’re looking at a porker, and, does it have the upgross STC mod?

Isn't Pacer or Tri-Pacer more seats, more useful load for less price?
