pacer on 8.50's and cleveland brakes?

looking for paperwork for a PA-22/20 to go on 8.50's. is there an STC that anyone knows of?
also wondering if there is a double puck cleveland brake stc?

if not i've got some field approvals to do :(

I sesriously doubt if there is an STC for 8.50's on any airplane. If you are still in Alaska though, the Alaska Region, FAA has a very simple, and very user friendly tire approval process. Contact the ANC FSDO, or almost any mechanic up there, and they should be able to get you a copy of the procedure. It's pretty much stick em on, do a test flight, and sign it off.

Don't know about the brakes, but I'd contact Cleveland.

I put 8:00x6 on mine and it had McCauley wheels and double puck brakes.
The paperwork from Univair included the 8:00x6 tire size. Check out the Short Wing Piper Club, lots of them out there with 8:50's.

8.00's are on the TCDS for a PA-20

this plane hasn't been on wheels in a looong time, its a float plane, but it has a borer prop and i need a quick fix to throw some 8.50's on it cause the snow kinda sucks for skis right now. guess i'll get the 337 rolling...................................

Not to be a stick in the mud but a PA22/20 is still a PA22. My research indicated that the Univair gear STC only allowed 7:00x6 tires with Cleveland wheels.

My experience is that 800's look normal enough where most people wouldn't give it a second thought. 850's are just enough bigger where someone will think "are those approved?...."
Of course, you can always install them on a BAI basis (between annual inspections).

UP--Seriously, just call the ANC FSDO. Their process, which will theoretically at least, be recognized anywhere, is a very simple one, and a FA is a total no brainer.

There is an 8.50 STC for the 108-3. I have this STC. One of the things that the fsdo was asking when I thought about putting the double puck brakes on the 108 is if it was to much brake for the weight and size of plane.

Wup has the STC for the brake setup on the 108.

I stayed with the single puck with the 8.50, and I have plenty of brake, if I was going to a larger tire, i.e. bush tires I would go with Wups setup.
