The airport literally is "In Town" . The State of Oregon is the owner/operator. Great place.

Dang.

Ashamed that I missed that...

I've been so many places but not there. Just a tad south of my usual beach runs. Will have to check it out. Looks delightful. If the sun shined I'd like to live there!

I was just through PC on the Gold Wing a few weeks ago on a trip back from California. Nice town.

Pacific City, Oregon (STOL'n in the City, amphib)

Pacific City is listed as a hazard airport. If you can land on 1860' at sea level haha you will be ok. It is 30' narrow. Birds and deer are the real hazard. Wind can get squirrelly. At high tide during a storm with south wind the strip goes under water.

This is one really special airport, being right in town. Everything is with in walking distance. Don't forget to contact me if your coming by. If I am there we will do something.

I was there yesterday. I was working on the house. When I went to leave a crew was there painting center strips and numbers. The yellow x was out. I ask if I could take off and they let me.

PLENTY long and wide enough for the Maule. Even a third of that would work at SL in a pinch, especially considering the usually cool dense air. As far as width goes, also plenty, especially considering the smooth grass off the sides of the runway.

Looks like sometimes goes below SL.... Will avoid those times :-)

Really looks delightful. I will look forward to a visit someday.

I'm familiar with the winds at costal airports. Nehalem Bay in particular is pretty wonky.

Plenty of room for me too. 8CGBC/2100A we only need 700' @ Sl.

But, that is under ideal conditions. This is the Oregon Coast, Captain Cook named an area Cape Foul Weather nearby. If Captain Cook named it that then, he must of seen some heavy WX.

I deferred landing there a few times and same with fellow pilots I know due to conditions.

The airfield is priceless. Hoping to go there again.
