I’ve decided to panel mount an Aera 760 to compliment a Garmin 355. Big screen and it can hardwire to the 355 and 52r.

Anyway, I never realized how little room there is behind the panel on older 182s. There really is no space for a real center stack of avionics because of the flight controls behind the yokes. My only option is to move comm 2 over above the transponder and buy a MyGoFlight mount and bolt it onto the panel in the center; however the unit will then hang off 2” or so. Does anyone know of another mount that doesn’t hang off so much or has anyone used a different method of mounting a portable GPS to the panel?
