Part owndership in Idaho House

I flew into New Meadows, Idaho last summer and walked to town. Two blocks from the grass strip I found this house for sale. Bank owned was asking 89,900. It has come down several times and it is now down to 49,900. Need a new roof and I am sure a few other things.

If a guy bought this place do you think anybody would want to rent it for a day or two. Or does anybody think a few guys could organize an LLC and use for a get away.

This place is on Hwy 95 12 miles from McCall. Map it then zoom out

Hey Tim
Find a local to the area property manager. He will be able to tell you about odds of being able to reent, and what to expect money wise for rent, and probly ake care of renting for you, for a fee
Bank doesn't want to own the property. Offer them $30k, and see what happens. We may have a new place to base out of. =D>

"Great for the handyman" means if you're not him, it's not so great. Just got sucked into one my parents found in Florida, the house is such a POS that it's actually a liability to the property because it needs a $100,000 worth of work to bring it up to respectable condition. They could probably build a new one for that price. However, If you are the handyman, sweat equity makes more sense than ever these days.

Macall is priced way up but twelve miles away it is in the tank. Grass sprip, no snow removal in the winter time.

New Meadows is nice. I like that town. Good spot to be. Not far from a lot of outdoorsy type stuff all year long.

I used to own a lot at Meadow Creek golf course about a mile NW of the airport. I sold it to a guy that was going to build in 2001 and as of last summer---still no house. It looked like half the place was for sale---just can't seem to get with it. It was a really pretty view looking over at Brundage MT and down at the valley.

Same place. The road into Meadow Creek was at 45th parallel and Zim's hot springs was just a little further north. Really prettier than over at McCall where it is so built up.

This conversation has been thrown around the hanger quite a bit lately. I think it could work well. We've been looking in Eastern Wa mostly. Western Idaho also works well.

Re: Part owndership in Idaho House

I have never heard of a descriptive area of Idaho noted as "Western Idaho". Huh?

The western boarder of Idaho is about 480 miles long. New Meadows is not on that boarder anyway.

A Real Geography Lesson:

Note; the capital of the State of North Idaho is actually Spokane, Washington. The capital of the State of South Idaho is Salt Lake City, however there is a satellite office in Boise. Although not shown on maps, the border between North and South Idaho is located near Riggins, Idaho at the time change from Mountain to Pacific time zones. :D

Sorta like the unofficial capitol of Alaska is Seattle, and the unofficial capitol of NE Mexico is San Antonio......
