Perfect copilot gone west

http://airfactsjournal.com/2013/04/the- ... any-years/

Copied from facebook. By Richard Collins.

I was touched. Those of us who are lucky enough to have a wife who fly's with us can relate.

At the end of the article in the commit section I found these 2 thoughts. I liked them.

"Pilots don’t die, they just fly higher."

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

Me too. I couldn't help but think about my wife and our relative short time together (11 years) and think how I would feel in his situation.

Very touching, especially since it outlines a pattern of life that seems to parallel ours so far.

Thanks Rob. Made my eyes misty as well. Great write up. As a newly wed, I hope I can get that many years and hours flying with my wife.

Re: Perfect copilot gone west

A very touching article, brings tears to your eyes. I'll bet there are some on this list that share Richards views. I know my co-pilot fits in. We've been hitched 56 years this July and she has been my co-pilot for 47 years. She loves flying and the joy it brings to me. Hope we still have a few more years flying together before one of us gives up and we squeeze a hand goodbye.
