Personal best pic of work and play

I had to fly about 60 miles today to check the job site access for my crane for an upcoming job, something I have done many times before. Note the assembled tower sections in the foreground. And, other times (usually in fact) this has led to some new off airport site landings. BUT, I realized right after I took this shot that this shot combined the two. Note flag on left showing wind direction, does it get any better ? :P Image Image

Re: Personal best pic of work and play

'55 knows the day I shot this (it's actually clipped from a vid) Wouldn't call it a best, it's not backcountry and I darn sure wasn't playing (intentionally), but it was one of those days that work was so fun it felt like playing 8)

Really, I just thought I'd bump this thread, because I know there are plenty on this site that do have cool work / play combos :D

Ya that's an awesome pic rob!! I love that angle. One of these days I'm going to learn how to get pics or vids onto something other than the device they're on. #-o I actually bought a drift a yr ago; strapped it to the thrush, took some videos...and they're still on the card I guess. Haha. Great finally meetin ya. Hope we get a chance to do some flyin together one of these days. Burned up here in south Texas. May have to get a "real" job soon. :P

That is a sweet pic Rob!

CG, I've been eyeing those gravel bars for a while; cool to see someone land them.
