Today I took off with 2+ inches of snow on the ground from my grass strip in about 450 feet with 70 gallons. When I came back, the only marks on the strip were my take-off tracks, so for the first time ever, I aimed at those tracks and put down and stayed in them the whole way, except I needed a little more on the brakeless roll out.
It looked like one set of tracks. This made me think of the new guys asking about tips for back country. When some snow is on, it would made for some easy practice to see how you are doing, nailing touch downs and tracking.

...remember, life is uncertain, eat desert first!
... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.
Sounds like fun as long as you know how deep the snow is.

Yup! Did the same thing. It actually surprised me. I am apparently off the ground sooner than I thought I was! Nice way of getting a visual confirmation of exactly where you lift off.

Whee,
His point was you land in the same tracks you made when you departed.
It is indeed a great verification that, yes, you actually CAN put the thing where you want it.
