Posting pictures with picasaweb
Have a problem with the website? Maybe you can find the answer here.
I started a picasaweb account a long time ago to post pictures on this site and it has always worked pretty well once I learned all the steps. Well they forgot to ask me if it was OK to completely change their website and now it is no longer possible to access the imbedded link required to post a picture here with the Img feature.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

When using Photobucket, I right click on the picture and a window pops up and one option is to view image info. Click that and what is in my picture show up and I select what says location and then paste that into the IMG deal on this website.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the same thing earlier by opening the "properties" and pasting the URL. It didn't work but now I realize that I didn't copy the entire URL! I read your post, tried it again and it works now! Next time they should just consult me before introducing any sort of "change" and we can avoid all of this!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

That's a Firefox feature. Most browsers have some sort of similar media browser where you can inspect all the media or files that particular webpage has downloaded.

I have the same problem, but using an older Mac. I can't even get the website to load properly anymore. I wish these tech companies would focus improvements on making the product more efficient instead of "smarter" Is there a way to move all the photos from Picasa to another server without re-uploading?

I still use Picassa and it works fine for posting on BCP. Make sure you use the following address and click the option for "classic view" instead of the new google+ system.

Still works like a charm for me?? All I did was right click and copy the URL, then came back here and pasted it in between the IMG.
Glads it's still working, last year at JC

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
Good eye on using the classic view. Not sure if it's the Google+ integration or what, but for a while they had a Flash based viewer or something that prevented easy image URL copying. Seems to be working ok now.

I used your link and it still took me directly to Google Plus, which seems to be their attempt at social media copying Facebook?? I couldn't find the "switch to classic view" button. It finally gave me a popup that asked if I wanted to go to my picasaweb account and it took me back. It seems a little cumbersome and non intuitive to me?? But at least I can get my pics posted again.

I guess I'm lucky when I clicked on your link it takes me right to my albums, I just picked an album then a picture, right clicked and copied the url.
I use Chrome only so maybe that's the difference??
