Good Day All,

Well i am just about ready to "pull the trigger" as one would say and purchase an aircraft. I am a Canadaian Resident purchasing an American Registered Aircraft located in the U.S. Now before everyone jumps in about the pitfalls of this process....I am well versed on the subject and will be working with an American FBO that works with a Canadain FBO to import aircraft. I have had many anecdotes that both these facilites do great work and make the import process as smooth as possible.

My question is that does anyone have any suggestions or sample prepurchase agreements that i could follow or use? Clause's that take care of such issues as "repairs that need to be done or issues that are discovered on the inspection (full annual process)" before the money is exchaged. Also...any suggestions on ESCROW sevices and the process to be followed.

Any help or insight would be appreciated!

I think Powell escrow is a very good outfit, have used them a couple of times, and still trying to get $20,000 from when I thought a good hand shake was enough.
AOPA has a good system also, think it is also Powell?
