Looks like the place downstream of Shoup, ID and JUST upstream of the Middle Fork confluence. If I'm correct, I noticed the "potential" previous strip there years ago. At the time there was crap all over it and at the edges of the strip. Looks like pretty cleaned up now. Again, if I'm thinking of the same place, that would be a busy dirt road traveled by all the raft shuttles to take out peps from the Middle Fork and dump them off for the Main? Always thought that would be a great place to have to fly folks in and out for the shuttle. Would reduce shuttle time by a lot! Thanks for posting.

Hey, there are my 3 lots I own adjacent to the strip. Hell ya some of them are for sale. And i have easement recorded for access to the strip.

We even have a bar at the downriver end of the strip. MT Empty Saddle Bar.

Its all on the Main Salmon River about 2 miles above the confluence with the Middle Fork.

Somebody better buy that before those guys come to their senses.

I have a converted bus that is a pretty damn nice MH, has Gen, central vac and furnace, even a porcelain throne. Have a picup to go with it for a driver.
Would be willing to invest that part in a nice little BCP getaway. Anyone else interested?

That's a huge reduction in price ($300,000 for the strip alone in 2009)--must either need the $$$ really badly, or there's just been no interest.

Unless you have extra money laying around why buy? There are plenty of places to fly to for free. Looks like to many neighbors there anyway.

I know the guy that had it before Potts, he flew a Helio Courier and a 182 out of there. He may have put the strip in, don't know, but could find out. He lives on the west bench above Pocatello now, and has enough property to make an easy landing, and he wants me to do it. But, a womens prison is very close by, and I can see them (the guards) getting excited, so we have not flown in there, yet. My friends attitude is "it's my property, it's legal, go for it". Just a little insight into the type of person that would put that river strip in!
