Many of you, like me, use Tapatalk, the iPhone/Android app that allows you to interact with the forum only via a slick little native smartphone app. The scope of the application is that is can only interact with our forum software. Our forum software has its own PM system built in, which I have swept under the rug in favor of the version you get when you message someone on the normal website. As you can imagine, this can cause some confusion since you guys aren't really expected to understand the architecture of the various integrated pieces of software we use here.
The short message is: I recommend not messaging from Tapatalk at this time. It relegates the message to the forum side of the software, and is inaccessible from the normal website.
My plan is to write some code to sync them so that when you message from the main website through a browser, or through Tapatalk, you'll end up with the same messages, but it's quite an effort.
For now, just know that it may cause some confusion to have someone see that they've gotten a new PM via the Tapatalk notification on their phone, but then visit the site and nothing is there.
Thanks,
Z
