PULLEYS

NEED some help finding some pulleys for my taylorcraft bc-12d would like to use ball bearings but dont know where to look also can you buy them in a kit.THANKS BEAGLE

Did you try the normal suppliers, like Univair?

Were ball bearing pulleys used in the original? If not, they won't be legal in your airplane. And, if they're not airplane parts they're also not going to be legal.

Control circuits is not a place I'd try to get "innovative" in. They could hurt you real bad.

Univair is where I would look. They supply a approved kit to install ball bearing pulleys in my Luscombe. Many Luscombe pilots have installed them and say they really made the plane feel smooth.

Actually the factory has been supplying ball bearing pulley kits.... but now the factory is in a mess again, and it doesn't look all that great. Try over at http://vb.taylorcraft.org on the bulletin board and maybe someone could verify if they're still available. I need a set for mine too.
